Jacqueline Fernandez hails from Manama in Bahrain. She grew up in a multiethnic household. Jacqueline Fernandez's mom Kim and her father Elroy were both born in Malaysia. Jacqueline is the oldest of two brothers and a younger sister. In the 80s, her parents fled to Bahrain due to civil unrest over Sri Lanka. In the end, she was born and raised there. After completing high school in Bahrain she won the Scholarship at University of Sydney to pursue the Media and Communications Degree in Sydney, Australia. Her passion for languages and cultures inspired her to enroll in the Berlitz language school, where she mastered French and Arabic as she learned Spanish. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 won Miss Universe 2006 competition in March 2006 and she was also crowned Miss Universe 2006 also. In the aftermath of winning the Miss Sri Lanka title in 2006, she entered the world of television and anchored a show that was a business show in Sri Lanka called Lanka Business Report. Padukone was the daughter of badminton player Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and raised in Bangalore. As a teenager she competed in badminton championships at national level. However, she left the sport to make a profession as a designer. Padukone is from Mangalorean background and her native language is Konkani. Padukone is located situated in Kundapura Taluk located in Udupi in Karnataka State in India is where her lineage originates. Prakash Padukone was a badminton legend, who retired in the 80s. The mother of her daughter, a travel agent, is also from this area.
